Overview and Objectives
General Korean Language Studies is a General Studies Elective course designed to help international students communicate effectively in Korean, both academically and on campus, enabling them to complete their studies successfully. This course is structured as either an integrated-skills course, which combines the four language skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing), or a skills-specific course, which focuses intensively on individual skills.

- ⑤ Increase the proportion of formative evaluation to monitor academic growth continuously
To achieve these goals, the course emphasizes communication skills, academic performance skills, and humanities-based critical thinking.

- Serves as a foundational course to help international students successfully adapt and progress through four years of education at the university.

Operating Korean Intensive Program
- To help international students improve their academic Korean proficiency required at the university level, the Korean Intensive Program is provided immediately after admission. The curriculum is designed to enhance Korean skills specifically needed in major and general education courses, enabling students to improve their language abilities within an academic context rapidly.
- Each semester, KU University College evaluates students' Korean proficiency to determine whether this program is necessary for them. Students who have been designated for it must complete it with responsibility. During this period, their entry into major coursework is deferred to ensure they possess sufficient Korean proficiency before proceeding to their academic field.
