- Beginning with the 2024 academic year, IFLS800 <Academic English I> has remained a General Studies Required course, while IFLS801 <Academic English II> has become a General Studies Elective.
- Students who admitted before 2024 (~2023) must take IFLS800 <Academic English I> and IFLS801 <Academic English II> sequentially.(You must complete Academic English I as a prerequisite before enrolling in Academic English II.)
- Non-1st year students must register under the "Retake/Non-completion section."
- For domestic transfer students, registration is required under the "Retake/Non-completion (intermediate level) section."
- Since 2012, <Academic English I & II> can only be taken for the first time during regular semesters. (Initial enrollment is not allowed during seasonal semesters.)
Course Objectives
<Academic English II> is designed to enhance students' English proficiency and academic communication skills. The course aims to improve general English skills applicable in all academic fields and is conducted based on educational content. It provides opportunities for students to develop high-level English language skills necessary to participate in English-conducted major courses actively.
Additionally, the course emphasizes developing students' academic writing skills in English through writing assignments that are relevant to their major disciplines.
